Xiaomi 18 Pro Europe Price Leak: Up to €1,784, With Smaller Batteries Than China
An Italian retailer lists the Xiaomi 18 Pro from €1,399 and the 18 Pro Max at €1,784, with smaller batteries than the Chinese versions. Here’s what’s confirmed and what isn’t.
Xiaomi promised a global launch for the Xiaomi 18 Pro series “this year.” Now an Italian retailer may have given us the first look at what Europe will actually get, and it comes with a catch: higher prices than many expected, and smaller batteries than the Chinese versions.
These figures come from a retailer listing, not from Xiaomi, so treat everything below as unofficial until the company confirms it.
The Leaked European Prices
According to Nokiamob, the Italian retailer Epto has listed both phones with the following prices:
- Xiaomi 18 Pro, 12GB/256GB: €1,398.90
- Xiaomi 18 Pro, 12GB/512GB: €1,591.90
- Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, 12GB/512GB: €1,783.90 (some listings in other colours and with different model numbers show €1,761.90)
Those numbers are actually slightly below earlier leaked starting prices of €1,449 for the Pro and €1,849 for the Pro Max. Two things are worth keeping in mind. European prices include VAT, so they aren’t directly comparable to Chinese prices, which we covered in our earlier report on the global launch confirmation. And Xiaomi’s official European prices usually end in .49 or .99, which these don’t, a sign that retailer placeholders may not match the final numbers. Reports also differ: the fan site Ximitime says the same Italian retailer starts at €1,549, so the exact figures are far from settled.
Smaller Batteries Than China
The more interesting detail is the battery. The listing shows reduced capacities compared with the Chinese models:
- Xiaomi 18 Pro: 6,000mAh with 90W wired charging in Europe, versus 7,000mAh and 100W in China.
- Xiaomi 18 Pro Max: 7,050mAh with 100W charging in Europe, versus 8,500mAh in China.
Xiaomi has not explained the difference. Ubergizmo’s report on the global launch notes that some regions may need slight battery capacity adjustments, which fits a pattern we’ve seen before: international versions often differ from the Chinese ones to meet shipping and certification rules. The listing also mentions a 1,000-cycle battery rating and endurance figures of 66 and 70 hours per cycle, but without more detail those numbers are hard to interpret.
What the Listing Says About the Hardware
- The 18 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, and the 18 Pro Max uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
- Both ship with HyperOS 4.
- Europe appears to get black, white, and Velvet Red. China has black, white, pink, and blue, with red limited to a special edition.

When Is the Global Launch?
Ubergizmo reports that the international launch is planned for November across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, attributing the claim to Xiaomi president Lu Weibing through a link to the unofficial fan site Ximitime. We couldn’t find that statement on Ximitime itself, and Xiaomi’s own public line remains that the global launch is coming “this year.” No specific date has been announced, and international pricing is still unconfirmed. A retailer listing appearing now does suggest stock and pricing are being prepared, but it doesn’t confirm a date.
Should You Wait?
If you were planning to import a Chinese unit to get the bigger battery, think twice: the global versions may be noticeably smaller on battery, but importing brings its own risks, from warranty gaps to missing network bands. We explain how to check what you’re really buying in our guide to spotting a grey-market Xiaomi phone. For most buyers in Europe and the UK, waiting a few weeks for official prices and a confirmed date is the safer choice.
We’ll update this article as soon as Xiaomi confirms official pricing and a launch date.
